As a sports masseur I not only trained for anatomy and physiology of sports massage. A large part of my training included the physiological side of sports massage. After the first 10 minutes of massage therapy the body’s happy hormones are activated leaving you feeling less stressed and more relaxed. Which goes along way towards getting you out of that fight or flight response.
